Accommodations
Participants will live in South Hall, one of the university’s new residential halls, which provide suite-style accommodations—including single-occupancy rooms, semi-private bathrooms, a common living area, kitchenette, air conditioning, high-speed internet connectivity, and use of laundry facilities.
Participants will be able to purchase a dining-plan (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and to share meals together. Those who do not wish to purchase a full meal plan will have access to a shared kitchen in South Hall, or they may purchase meals in the dining hall on an à la carte basis.
As visiting scholars, participants will have full access to study spaces and computer labs across campus, as well as to the library’s databases to support their reading and research. The institute bibliography will also be held on reserve at the library.
We encourage participants to take advantage of the arrangements that have been made for their residency on campus. Families cannot be accommodated in the residence hall, and so we understand that some participants may wish to make alternative arrangements for some part of their stay in Maine. The University of New England has negotiated reduced rates at two local hotels. For more information, contact Kelly Clough at (207) 602-2137 or kclough@une.edu.
