This program takes place prior to the Traditional Campus-Based Orientation session, and ends in time for you to participate in it fully.

$150 additional cost

This is a four-day, three-night outdoor learning experience partnering with the Appalachian Mountain Club. Students will be transported to the White Mountains to explore and experience all that the Pinkham Notch region has to offer. Waterfalls, rivers, hikes and more are accessible to students on this trip. Students will work together to prepare meals and carry out community chores. Students should be comfortable hiking and canoeing a mile or more, but no experience is required.

This is an Intermediate Program: Trips in this category are designed for students who want to try outdoor adventures further afield. Students will reside in tents or semi-permanent structures, eat meals prepared by the group and professional guides and enjoy all that our beautiful region has to offer. Bathroom facilities will range from those with running hot and cold water to outhouse style accommodations.
