New College of Pharmacy featured in Press Herald

The Portland Press Herald on April 24, 2009 ran a front page story on the University of New England's  new College of Pharmacy, which is on track to welcome its first class of 100 students in September 2009.

Portland Press Herald Writer Kelley Bouchard toured the College of Pharmacy's new building on the Portland Campus with several city officials, including Portland Mayor Jill Duson.

Building construction will be finished in July.

Ultimately, the college will have a four-year enrollment of 400 students and will employ 47 faculty and staff, with a yearly payroll of $3.5 million, said John Schloss, chairman of pharmaceutical sciences.

The Portland Press Herald story was also picked up by the Associated Press and ran in the Boston Globe's online Boston.com and other media outlets as well.  Read the Portland Press Herald story.
