Brian Duff interviewed by Associated Press on Tuesday's casino referendums

Brian Duff, Ph.D., associate professor of political science, was interviewed by the Associated Press for a Nov. 7, 2011 story on factors that may affect the outcome of several referendums on the Maine November ballot.

Two gambling referendums are on the ballot, bringing the total to eight in 11 years. Although opponents say voters are tired of voting on the issue, Duff said casino supporters aren’t likely to change their opinion simply because there have been so many casino referendums.

The story was picked up by a several media outlets, including the Boston Globe, Kennebec Journal, Waterville Sentinel, KRXI TV, Bangor Daily News and Seacoast Online.

Duff is the author of The Parent as Citizen: A Democratic Dilemma.
