U.S. News & World Report has released its 2013 Best Online Education Programs rankings, and University of New England's online Master of Science in Education program is listed among the schools recognized.

Only regionally accredited schools that met the federal standard of 100 percent online course delivery were evaluated.

UNE's online education program is one of hundreds of online master's programs surveyed by U.S. News. While the 2013 rankings evaluate online programs, many of the top-performing schools, including UNE, also have physical campuses.

UNE's online M.S.Ed program offers several concentrations:

  • Career & Tech Ed Online
  • Curriculum & Instructional Strategies
  • Educational Leadership
  • Inclusion Education
  • Literacy Education K-12

U.S. News & World Report evaluated the online master's degree programs based on admissions selectivity, student engagement, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology.

U.S. News noted that quality online graduate education programs provide students with opportunities to interact with their instructors and fellow classmates, as well as diverse online learning technologies that allow student flexibility.
