Marilyn Gugliucci gives two talks, conducts research on older adults

Marilyn R. Gugliucci, Ph.D., professor and director for Geriatrics Education and Research in UNECOM, has been working with older adult communities at speaking engagements and is conducting qualitative research to ascertain older adult perspectives on how best to “Help Older Adults in Crisis.”

Gugliucci’s speaking engagements during this week have been at Meetinghouse Village in Kittery, an independent retirement community where she talked about stigmas of aging that are often believed by older adults, themselves, and at York County Senior College, as part of the Gary Sullivan Lecture Series, where she discussed sex and aging.

At both of these locations Gugliucci conducted focus group research.  She has also met with older adult volunteers from The Opportunity Alliance of Maine to conduct a number of additional research sessions.
