Susan Jarmuz-Smith becomes only PREPaRE School Crisis trainer in Maine

Susan Jarmuz-Smith, M.S., BCBA, board certified behavior analyst and assistant lecturer in the Department of Psychology, just completed PREPaRE School Crisis training and Train the Trainer program for the school crisis model.  She is currently the only PREPaRE School Crisis trainer in the state of Maine.

The PREPaRE training curriculum includes two workshops. The first provides a broad overview of the school safety and crisis team's roles and responsibilities, with a special emphasis on crisis prevention and preparedness. The second provides a specific examination of the school-based mental health professionals' roles and responsibilities, with a special emphasis on crisis intervention and recovery.
