Deborah Sturpe and Jim Krebs take on positions with the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy

Two faculty members from UNE’s College of Pharmacy were recently recruited for roles within the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP):

Deborah A. Sturpe, M.A., Pharm.D., BCPS, clinical associate professor, has been elected as the new Secretary of the AACP Curriculum Special Interest Group, and Jim Krebs, B.S. Pharmacy, M.S., Pharm.D., assistant dean for Experiential Education, clinical assistant professor, has been selected to participate in the 2015-2016 AACP Academic Leadership Fellows Program.

In her new role, Sturpe will work to promote and address key issues related to pharmacy school curriculums, ensuring that the needs of pharmacy students are met.

The purpose of the AACP Curriculum Special Interest Group is to serve as a resource for pharmacy institutions and AACP members, helping them address curriculum issues.

The AACP Academic Leadership Fellows program is designed to develop the nation’s most promising individuals to become future leaders in pharmacy and higher education. It provides an opportunity to cultivate relationships among peers and colleagues from a variety of institutions.
