Noah Perlut to present on grassland bird ecology and conservation in Canada

Noah Perlut, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Environmental Studies, will give a talk on grassland bird ecology and conservation on November 19, 2015, at two separate locations in Canada.

Perlut will present “A full life-cycle approach to understanding the effects of agricultural management on migratory songbirds.” He will address the Lennox and Addington Stewardship Council on Amherst Island, Ontario, which promotes responsible land care and stewardship of natural resources, encourages a cooperative approach, works with land owners on habitat enhancement and provides educational resources on stewardship topics to the general public.

He will also present at Kingston Field Naturalists at Queens University, Kingston, Ontario.  The Kingston Field Naturalists (KFN), formed in 1949, is a well-established nature club and charitable organization. Its objectives are the preservation of wildlife, natural habitats and the stimulation of people's interest in nature.
