Priya Katwala begins externship with the American Student Dental Association

Priya Katwala (CDM, ’18) has begun her four-week administrative externship at the central office of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA).

Selected for the position from a competitive pool of applicants, Katwala is working in ASDA’s Chicago headquarters with fellow extern Christine Chen (University of Washington, ’19). In her leadership role, Katwala is completing rotations in each department of the ASDA and taking on a variety of projects within the organization.

During the program, Katwala and Chen will travel to the University of Illinois at Chicago and Midwestern Illinois dental schools. In addition, they will meet with staff from several dental organizations and post about their experiences on the ASDA Instagram account.
