Treating champions: UNE professor returns from Finland tournament with U.S. Women's Ice Hockey Team

USA Women's National Ice Hockey Team

University of New England Clinical Professor and Director of the Athletic Training Program, Wayne R. Lamarre, MEd, LAT, ATC, recently returned from a successful trip with the USA Women's National Ice Hockey Team to the 2016 Four Nations Tournament in Vierumaki, Finland. USA won the tournament, defeating teams from Finland, Sweden, and Canada. 

Lamarre was part of a five-member medical staff that supported the team throughout the event. He also served as the team's athletic trainer when they won the 2016 IIHF Women's World Championship tournament in March of 2016.

The USA Hockey Women's Program was at UNE this summer, where they hosted the best young players in the U-18 division for a development camp in June.
