UNE SNAP-ed staff present data tracking tool in webinar

SNAP-ed

On February 25, 2016, Kira Rodriguez, M.H.S., and Pamela Bruno, M.P.H., evaluators with the School of Community and Population Health (SCPH), participated in the Regional Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Centers of Excellence's webinar entitled “Policy, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) Change Measurement and Story Telling.”

The SCPH evaluators were invited to present Maine’s customized Excel tracking tool as one of two national “examples from the field” for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed) PSE change planning, monitoring, and evaluation. The Excel-based tool collects annual process and outcome indicators to measure implementation of 61 PSE strategies across the state. The tool allows for the aggregation of common indicators, as well as individualized input and facilitates planning between UNE’s SNAP-Ed staff and Maine's 46 SNAP-Ed nutrition educators working at the local level.
