A collection of artwork by Stephen Burt, M.F.A., associate professor and chair in the Department of Creative and Fine Arts, will be displayed in a solo exhibit at the Kings Highway branch of the Brooklyn Public Library in New York.

The exhibit, titled Imagining Nature, will run from March 5 to April 21.

Burt commented on the multifaceted quality of his representations of nature. “In place of mirroring the world as it is I would rather create a kind of reality rich with analogies,” he stated. “One thing may be many things.”

Burt has exhibited in both international and national venues, most recently at The Third Floor Gallery in NYC, the University of Southern Maine, Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts, the Ballinglen Arts Foundation in Ballycastle, Ireland, and the International Print Center in New York City.
