An interview with Anouar Majid, Ph.D., University of New England vice president of Global Affairs and Communications, was featured in the August 2017 edition of “Nonprofit Communications Report,” a monthly brief for communications, community relations and media relations professionals.
In the article, titled “Introduce Your Communications Staff,” Majid discussed why organizations should showcase the talents and backgrounds of their communications team.
“People should know who is being entrusted with the mission of the company or association, including those who offer support services to the organization’s core business,” said Majid. “This can only build trust in the nonprofit and lead to a positive climate all around.”
Majid provided five tips for introducing the communications team, including emphasizing the skill sets of team members, showcasing their recognitions and encouraging them to share accomplishments.
