Noah Perlut, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Environmental Studies, recently published an article in the Wilson Journal of Ornithology.

“Bobolink autumn migration stopover on Galapagos” describes the habitat selection, stopover behavior and body condition of bobolinks as they rest and refuel on the remote Galapagos Islands during their migration between North and South America.

The work is part of a long-term project, supported by a UNE VPR grant, to study how blood parasites recently arrived to the Galapagos.
