COLLEGE OF HEALTH PROFESSIONS
Performance Enhancement
and Evaluation Center
With its sophisticated 21st-century technology making risk-free patient care training possible for students and health professionals in the community, the University of New England's Performance Enhancement and Evaluation Center (PEEC) on the Westbrook College Campus in Portland, Maine will take healthcare education to the next level and allow UNE to serve as a leader in the region.
Human patient simulation, standardized patients, evaluation, and research - these four components will enable PEEC to change the way our students and other health professionals learn to save lives.
State-of-the-art patient simulators and support technology have already been purchased through a $1 million federal funding award, and programming is being developed for students and health practitioners. All that is left to complete the PEEC is to build it a consolidated and fully-realized home on the University of New England’s Westbrook College Campus.
