Amy Kinner

Amy Kinner is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Public Health Program, where she teaches the Principles of Epidemiology course. She is also a Health Services Researcher at Onpoint Health Data (formerly the Maine Health Information Center), where she conducts healthcare research and analysis using a variety of data sources, includingmedical claims data and hospital inpatient/outpatient data. Prior to joining Onpoint Health Data, Amy was a Research Associate at UNE's Center for Health Policy, Planning, and Research (CHPPR) with a focus on epidemiology, survey research, evaluation research and consulting. Amy has extensive experience in analyzing and evaluating public health programs. She has experience developing and coordinating technical analyses, managing and analyzing health data, and communicating the results of technical analyses to a wide variety of audiences. Other past employment includes appointments with the US EPAÕs Aging Initiative and with EPAÕs Office of Air and Radiation. Amy holds a MS in Health, Environment, and Development from the University of California at Berkeley School of Public Health, where she received training in epidemiology, statistics, economics, and risk assessment. She also holds a BA in Chemistry from Middlebury College in Vermont.
