David Peter Barlow

Emigrated to the US in July 1999 from Manchester, UK, working for Micromass Inc. as a service engineer for their Mass Spectrometer line, living in CT. Moved to Massachusetts in June 2001, working for Charles River Laboratories in Worcester, as support engineer. September 2003 began work at Pfizer in CT for a third-party service organisation as team manager. 2005 working for a California based service company covering most of New England, NJ, NY and PA. March 2006 launched my own company and sub-contracted for Perkin Elmer at Merck in Rahway NJ. It was here that a new pilot program called One-Source was started, I helped with Applied Biosystems line of instrumentation. April 2007 began working for McKinley Scientific as Service Manager. I was responsible for the test and installation of mass spectrometers. November 2009 to present have been working at UNE, Portland campus. My role is to maintain the instrumentation in the research laboratory, liase with outside Vendors and provide my services for validations, SOP's and other cGLP requirements needed for a start-up facility.

I am married to Deborah and we have  4 children, James 16, Sally 14, Dylan 6 and Eliza 3. (Deborah  also works in the department)
