Jessica Bates

Dr. Jessica Bates is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the College of Pharmacy at UNE.  Dr. Bates earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Husson Univeristy in 2015 followed by an ambulatory care-based PGY-1 residency at Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) in Bangor, ME.  Throughout residency, Dr. Bates was involved in pharmacist-managed clinics including anticoagulation, diabetes, and medication therapy management.  She also cultivated a passion for controlled substance stewardship, ensuring that opioid and benzodiazepine medications are used safely and effectively.  With her clinical practice site at PCHC, Dr. Bates continues to provide these services and more to her patients while bringing her experiences to the classrooms at UNE.
