Founding Director, Professor Emeritus

Judy is the Founding Director of and Professor Emeritus in the Occupational Therapy Department. She has been an OT for almost 50 years, has served as the Director and Post-Professional Graduate Coordinator for the OT program, founded the Community Occupational Therapy Clinic, was the first female Full Professor at UNE and is a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Her clinical work, presentations and research are in the areas of sensory integration, sensory modulation, manual therapies, clinical research techniques, and PTSD in veterans. She greatly enjoys her volunteer and Board work with Maine State Ballet and Carlisle Academy (therapeutic riding), and she has a daughter who also is an occupational therapist.
