Nicole O'Brien

Nicole has worked in public health and social work as a research assistant on a variety of projects, grants, evaluations and reports. Since starting at UNE in 2010, she has organized events and trainings, worked with students, community partners and staff; and coordinated projects including numerous state and federally funded grants. Nicole currently manages the Community Access to Child Health in Maine (CATCH-ME) project. In this capacity she supports the PI in implementing the goals of the CATCH-ME project by coordinating student stipends, filing federal grant reports, organizing annual trainings and acting as the liaison between students, the University, and federal agencies.  She supports the New England Public Health Training Center at the University in offering workforce development to public health professionals through trainings and student stipend support. Nicole is passionate about assisting health professional students through trainings and programs to enhance their professional capacity.
