Praphul Joshi

Praphul Joshi received his masters and doctoral degrees from Norman J Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina majoring in health promotion, education and behavior. He obtained his degree in dental surgery from Bangalore University, India. His area of expertise is in program planning and evaluation. He served as the program evaluator for South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control in 2004. From 2005 _ 2011 He served as the assistant professor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. During the last ten years Dr. Joshi has been a lead investigator for several projects including childhood obesity, adolescent risk behaviors and teen pregnancy prevention. He serves as the lead evaluator for PTM (Partnerships for Tobacco-Free Maine) and is also the lead evaluator for LouisianaÕs cardiovascular disease and diabetes control programs.
