Rachel Garoufalis, D.M.D.

Assistant Clinical Professor

Since her early years as a swim instructor, Dr. Garoufalis has always had a special passion for teaching. In both dental school and her endodontics residency, she was actively engaged in teaching both in the clinic and in the classroom, earning her the Joseph I. Tenca Scholarship for commitment to education.

In her spare time, Dr. Garoufalis enjoys traveling above all else. In addition to living on both coasts and traveling to many states in between, she has also spent time in New Zealand, Canada, and different parts of Central America and Europe. She loves to travel locally and will take any suggestions you have about where to go in New England. When she isn't globetrotting, Dr. Garoufalis loves to spend time with her husband and their two dogs. Dr. Garoufalis also works in private practice in Portland and Augusta, ME.
