Head Cross Country Coach

Location

Biddeford Campus

Ouellette has led the UNE cross country teams for 14 seasons. The women's program has captured back-to-back Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) titles in the last two years (2012 and 2013), and the men's continues to inch closer and closer to the league crown. Ouellette has been voted CCC Coach of the Year five times (four on the women's side), coming in 2006, 2011 (both), 2012, and 2013.

The women's squad has won a combined seven events over the last three seasons -- the first three multiple-win campaigns under Ouellette. 2013 also saw the program's best-ever finish at the ECAC Championship meet (6th of 47).

After five straight 3rd-place showings in the CCC Championship race, the men's team has logged four consecutive runner-up finishes since. Like the women, the men recorded their highest finish in program history at the ECAC Championship (10th of 46) in 2013, on top of a best-ever placing at the NCAA Regional race.

Ouellette has more than 25 years of coaching experience under his belt on top of the collegiate level, working with outdoor track, indoor track, cross country, and football at Biddeford High School during various points in his career. He recently retired from 36 years of teaching at BHS.

Ouellette attained bachelor's degrees in mathematics and history from Colby College in 1975. The Biddeford native and his wife reside locally.
