Suzanne Robben Brown, Ph.D., M.P.H., P.T.

Adjunct Faculty

Dr. Brown earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Therapy and, a Master’s in Public Health from University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, OK and her Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Trident  University International, Cypress, CA. She has been a physical therapist for over 43 years in a combination of clinical and educational appointments.  Dr. Brown is the founding director of physical therapy education programs at Touro University, A.T. Still University, and Langston University. She has been affiliated with the UNE Transitional DPT program since 2007.

Dr. Brown’s current research interests are in academic integrity, professional competence, and writing for publication. She teaches the clinical decision making, evidence based practice, and capstone writing courses in the UNE curriculum. She maintains a private educational consulting business for health professions programs.

As an academic administrator, grant writer, and faculty, she has been funded for over $3 million in grants and awards from both federal and private sources on behalf of various institutions. Dr. Brown has been active in the physical therapy profession throughout her career and has served on the American Physical Therapy Association’s Board of Directors as well as on the Board of Directors of the Health Policy and Administration and Private Practice Sections. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma and Arizona APTA chapters. She is the recipient of the APTA Lucy Blair Service Award, and outstanding service awards from the Oklahoma and Arizona Chapters.
