Tessie Stansbury, D.M.D.

Assistant Clinical Professor

­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Dr. Tessie Stansbury is originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania. She completed a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Scranton. From there she attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and completed a DMD degree. After that she pursued a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency (also from the University of Pittsburgh), followed by a three-year specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).

Dr. Stansbury is a board-certified Diplomate in the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, as well as a Fellow in the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Maine Dental Association, and Greater Portland Dental Society. She enjoys knitting, crocheting, spinning yarn, and crafting. Other hobbies include reading, playing and listening to music, hiking, boating, and traveling the 3478 miles of Maine coast. She is pleased to join the faculty as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the UNE College of Dental Medicine.
