Welcome to the University of New England College of Pharmacy and Pre-Pharmacy. As a founding faculty member, I am honored to serve as Interim Dean of this vibrant college.
The UNE College of Pharmacy and Pre-Pharmacy is a diverse community of educators, health professionals, scholars and learners dedicated to mentoring and training undergraduate and graduate students in the profession of pharmacy. Founded in 2008, our fifth class of pharmacists graduated in 2017. We are proud that our graduates are successfully employed in careers across the spectrum of the field of pharmacy.
As educators and clinicians, we work collaboratively with other health care professionals to train our students in a medical team environment in order to provide the highest quality healthcare for our patients. In our new, integrated curriculum, our faculty collaborates with students in small group settings. Our combined classroom and hands-on educational experiences focus on interprofessional opportunities, preparing our students to be practice-ready upon graduation.
As scholars and scientists, we make new discoveries and share knowledge in our laboratories and classrooms. Our faculty members serve as leaders and in our communities, champions for the profession at the Maine State House, and leaders at the national level in professional organizations. We collaborate globally to provide international perspective and training opportunities for our students and faculty in Spain, Thailand, Japan, and beyond.
Located in Portland, a lively city that consistently ranks high among “best of” lists, you will find our college and community ready to welcome you. We offer state of the art facilities, outstanding faculty, extraordinary staff and a strong community of dedicated educators and learners. We are here to open doors and help you create your own unique story as a future Doctor of Pharmacy.
