Tuition calculations above are based on a per credit rate of $1,350.
Nurse Anesthesia Students are required to purchase equipment/instruments for the program. The Financial Aid Office allows $100 under the first year budget to purchase these items.
Books and Supplies
The costs will vary depending on the courses the student is taking. The Financial Aid Office uses $2,321 for the first year of the program, $450 for the second year of the program, and $200 for the third year of the program, as a standard allowance for student budget purposes. The student's actual expenses may vary.
Indirect Costs
Indirect costs are included in the student's financial aid budget. These are not direct charges from the university, but allowances that are given to cover expenses that the student may have while attending school (the allowances listed below cover the number of months the student is enrolled for each year of the program):
First year

The living expense allowances are based on the following amounts per month, for the months enrolled:
- Room and Board $1,350/month (rent, food, utilities)
- Transportation $400/month
- Personal/Misc. $250/month
Health Insurance
Students are required to enroll in UNE's Student Medical Insurance Plan unless proof of comparable insurance is demonstrated and waiver is completed online (2018-2019 Academic Year waiver/enrollment session is from July 1 through August 17, 2018).
The cost for UNE's 2018-2019 annual health insurance policy for graduate/professional students (except first year College of Osteopathic Medicine students) is $3,899. Due to a longer academic year, health Insurance rates for first year COM students is $4,224. Students whose programs begin in Summer 2018 should waive/enroll for summer semester and then re-enroll/waive for the following academic year, starting in the fall.
