You are invited to join us for weekend packed with fun and events for the whole family on our beautiful campus in the coastal city of Portland, Maine.  This annual University tradition is designed to allow familes to come back a month after the school year starts in order to see campus in full swing.  At Family and Friends Weekend you will find something to satisfy everyone!

Saturday, October 13th
Check-In and Information Table, 10-2 p.m., Alexander Hall

Faculty Brunch, 10:30 a.m., Cafeteria, Alexander Hall
Free Brunch and meeting with faculty

Pumpkin Painting, 1-3:00 p.m., Ginn/McDougall Residence Halls Lobby (FREE),
Residence Hall Council invites you to paint a pumpkin and enjoy some apple cider. 

UNE Art Gallery, Exhibits open (FREE), 1-4:00 p.m.

Portland Stage Company Presents, "The Piano Lesson", 4:00 p.m.
A Pullitzer Prize-winning drama by August Wilson.
DIscounted Tickets $12 (RSVP Required)
Set during the Great Depression, this Pullitzer Prize-winning drama depicts a family's struggle with the legacy of an elaborately carved piano passed down to them by their great-grandfather.  Boy Willie wants to own the farm where his family once worked as slaves.  However, to purchase the land, he'll have to sell the family's piano, a prized heirloom with which his sister Berniece refuses to part.

Sunday, October 14th
UNE Art Gallery, Exhibits open, (FREE), 1-4:00 p.m.

Duck Tour:  Amphibious tour of Portland
Discounted tickets $10 (RSVP required)
A tour of the the City of Portland by land and sea.

Invitations (with RSVP information), a schedule or events, and a local hotel accomodations information sheet has been sent to family of UNE Westbrook College Campus students.  Tickets to discounted ticketed events are limited on a first come, first served basis.
