Westbrook College Campus Undergraduate Orientation

Welcome!

Welcome to UNE! The New Student Orientation Team is excited to work with you as you begin your career at UNE. Our Orientation programs provide opportunities for students and their families to prepare for the academic, social, and personal challenges of university life. Our staff is dedicated to providing the best orientation possible to ensure that both students and their families are comfortable and ready for the UNE Experience.

For a successful transition, it's important to provide all entering students with the necessary tools and information regarding the University, its academic programs and its campus resources.  Attendance at events allows for consistency and efficiency in the delivery of information and overall assistance to the student.  As such, all entering students are expected to attend all orientation programs.  The fall Campus Welcome Day is considered to the first day of classes and should thus be attended by all students.

Please mark your calendars...the start of our academic year will be here before you know it!

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Student Affairs at (207) 221-4212 or Campus Life Office at (207) 221-4269.

Welcome to the University of New England's resource page for parents and family members of prospective and current students. The following index will provide you with links to information about resources and events at both the University and Westbrook College Campuses.

Disability Services
Disability Services exists to provide the qualified student with a disability equivalent access to, and equal opportunity in, the educational environment at UNE. In order to receive accommodations in a timely manner, incoming students with disabilities are encouraged to contact Disability Services prior to arriving on campus. Should you require accommodations for placement exams, registration with the Disability Services Office must be completed two weeks prior to your placement session.

Housing and Residence Life
The University believes that residence hall living is an important aspect of the entire University program and therefore has established a three (3) year residency requirement for full-time undergraduate students. Students who meet specific criteria for off campus status must submit a request for off campus approval.

Proctor Center
The Proctor Center has three important goals. The first is to help students achieve academically. The second is to guide the development of career-related knowledge and skills, and the third is to provide needed adult learner resources for resident, commuter and non-traditional students. *You can also find information about the Peer Mentor Program here!

Campus Life/Activities
Dedicated to enriching the co-curricular lives of UNE's Westbrook College Campus students, the office is a valuable resource to the entire campus. The Campus Life Office has information to assist in identifying opportunities for involvement in a number of clubs and organizations including the LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT program.
