Getting Around

U N E students posing with their new bikesIf you choose not to bring a car to campus, UNE offers some convenient and fun alternatives to help you get around.

If you are one of the first 150 deposited first-year students who will live in a residence hall, our bike program outfits you with a free bike, helmet and bike-lock. We also provide racks around campus, and storage during the winter months. And when you leave UNE, the bike is yours to keep.

The Nor'easter Shuttle runs from UNE to the local train station, to the quaint and charming downtowns of Biddeford and Saco, to Biddeford Crossing, where you find a host of restaurants and shops. The shuttle is free to use with your UNE student ID card and runs seven days a week.

The UNE Intercampus Shuttle, meanwhile, offers an ideal way for you to visit UNE's Portland Campus, where you find a range of interesting lectures, library resources and course offerings.

The Zoom Express, which provides inexpensive rides to Portland on weekdays, is another option. You may also sign out one of our ZipCars by the hour (learn more here).
