The Student Academic Success Center (SASC) provides a staff of peer, graduate and professional tutors to support a wide selection of undergraduate courses. UNE’s peer tutors are a select group of students who demonstrate subject proficiency as well as the personal qualities conducive to good working relationships.
Peer tutors are selected based on academic achievement, supportive faculty recommendations, and an application and interview process. Peer tutors are trained and many have earned certification by the College Reading and Learning Association. Professional tutoring is also provided by SASC staff.
Tutoring services are free of charge to you as a UNE undergraduate. Tutors’ regularly scheduled hours are published in the Tutor Schedule, available in the Student Academic Success Center and in the first floor Decary stairwell. Information about the schedule is also available on the SASC website.
For the most up-to-date information, please use une.tutortrac.com or contact the Student Academic Success Center at (207) 602-2443. No appointment is necessary to use tutoring services, and you may participate in drop-in tutoring as frequently as you desire.
We encourage you to discuss your individual tutoring needs with SASC Director Mary Fraser, who can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or (207) 602-2561.
