During the first session you will be able to talk, in confidence, about your concerns. Your counselor will help you clarify the issues and facilitate your choosing a method of dealing with them. The counselor might suggest that you begin individual, group, or couple counseling, or might refer you to another resource here on campus or in the community. There is no fixed number of sessions, however, counseling tends to be short-term. Referrals to off-campus resources will be discussed if longer-term counseling seems appropriate.
