On May 10, 2008 the University awarded more than 800 associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees - in health sciences, natural sciences, social sciences, human services, education, management and the liberal arts during a commencement ceremony at the Cumberland County Civic Center.

On June 7th, more than 100 medical students received their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degrees at a ceremony at Merrill Auditorium in Portland.  Masters in Public Health students also received their degrees during the ceremonies.
