The Graduating Class of 2012
The University of New England held its 177th Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 19, 2012. Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degrees and Master of Science in Medical Education Leadership degrees were awarded to graduates who had completed their respective programs of study at the College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following the university commencement exercises, the College of Osteopathic Medicine held its Hooding Ceremony where both DO and MMEL graduates were officially hooded.
This year Sandra Featherman, Ph.D., was awarded the Pioneer of Osteopathic Medicine medal--Dr. Featherman, UNE President Emeritus, offered comments as the hooding ceremony speaker. Adam Lauer, DO '00, President of the COM Alumni Association, administered the Osteopathic Oath.
