Two bathrooms with a bath tub
apt1Some suites are partially or fully accessible, therefore, one of the bathrooms will have a roll-in shower rather than a tub. Some shower/tubs will have handle bars and fold down seats as well.

A small livingroom
The living rooms have a TV cable and data jack, a couch and chair, lamp, an end table, coffee table and a small entertainment center to hold a TV/VCR. Vertical blinds are on the living room window. There are no curtain rods for the livingroom.

A small kitchenette
apt3The kitchenette includes an apartment-size refrigerator (17.6 cu. ft.), a microwave, a sink and cabinets; there are no stove burners nor an oven. Students living in the halls are on the board plan. There is a 5th phone jack by the suite door, if students choose to use it.

In addition to those items listed above, UNE also provides waste baskets in the bedrooms and kitchen, and shower curtains. There are overhead/wall mount lights in the kitchen and bathrooms.

Students provide their own toilet paper, dishes, silverware, kitchen towels, trash bags, and appliances — such as a coffee pot or toaster; phone for bedroom and perhaps the kitchen area; additional lamp(s) if desired; coaxial cable (to connect the TV to the cable jack for each TV) - recommend 10 feet or longer to provide greater flexibility; network cable which connects a computer to the data jack - again recommended 10 feet or longer.

apt2Students are responsible for cleaning their own suites. UNE will provide for each floor a vacuum, mop and bucket. Students provide their own cleaning supplies.

The buildings are air conditioned. There are individual temperature controls in each suite.

There is a study lounge on each floor, with study tables and chairs and a white board. There is also a small laundry room on each floor.

Students use card access to enter the hall and their suite, and have a key for bedroom locks. The bedroom locks are not auto-lock but the suite doors are.

The East Hall has several services which are for the two-building complex: a full kitchen, a large lounge and entry way which can be an extension of the lounge for larger meetings. The lounge and entry way has comfortable furniture. The lounge has a propane stove, which looks like a wood stove. The lounge also has a TV, VCR and DVD player and a stereo system. Mail for the residents of the two halls is delivered to the East Wing where mail boxes are located. There is a small indoor, locked bike room which is uses card access for those who register a bike with the Housing Office. The Residential Education and Housing Office is located next to the main entrance of the East Wing.
