'Religious and Cultural
Perspectives in Healthcare'

Please join us for an interdisciplinary seminar entitled "Religious and Cultural Perspectives in Healthcare" Wednesday, March 5 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m in CHP Lecture Hall on the Westbrook College Campus. Lunch will be served. 

There will be a panel discussion with leaders from Maine's diverse communities discussing different religious and cultural perspectives regarding healthcare practice.

Featured speakers include:

  • Pirun Sen, a Buddhist and Cambodian community leader, who works with the Office of Multilingual and Multicultural Programs at Portland Public Schools.
  • Reverend Virginia Marie Rincon, an ordained Episcopal priest and Director of the non-profit organization Tengo Voz (I have Voice) that works with greater Portland's Latino community.
  • Fatuma Hussein, a Muslim community leader with the United Somali Women of Maine in Lewiston.

This event is sponsored by UNE's Office of Multicultural Affairs and the CHP Dean's Office. Please encourage students, faculty and staff to attend.
