LGBTQ Events

Traditionally Pride Month is celebrated in June. However due to the academic calendar  many college campuses, including UNE, observe Pride events in April. The monthly festivities at UNE, better known as Gaypril, offers an opportunity for celebration and education about Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) victories and struggles and to raise awareness about LGBT issues. It is also a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of LGBT individuals and communities.

A variety of LGBTQ related campus and community events take place throughout the month, with programs and activities on both the Biddeford and Portland Campus.
