Coming Out Week

Events

Each October, the UNE community observes National Coming Out Week based on National Coming Out Day (observed October 11 in the U.S.). The Office of Multicultural Affairs & Diversity in conjunction with affiliated student groups offers educational lectures, entertainment, and social events that promote understanding of lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual and transgender issues and celebrate our LGBTQ community. UNE’s Coming Out Week is observed by the LGBTQ community and Straight Allies on campus in an effort to create a more supportive and inclusive environment for LGBTQ individuals.
