Cultural Exchange Lounge
Where is the Office of Multicultural Affairs & Diversity located?
On the UNE Biddeford Campus, our office space is located adjacent to the Cultural Exchange Lounge on the bottom floor of Decary Hall, Room 44.
The Cultural Exchange Lounge or “The Lounge” is a student-centered multi-faceted space that is open to ALL students on campus. Some of the things The Lounge offers include:
- Comfortable homey atmosphere with cozy furniture for students to meet, socialize, hang out and study
- Television & DVD player with an assortment of Multicultural/LGBTQ related movies
- Lending library with books and DVD’s available for students/faculty/staff to borrow
- Conference table/meeting room available for study space, club meetings, and other programs
- Ongoing programs throughout the academic year including lunch n’ learn programs, movie nights, language salons, interfaith events, and workshops and trainings.
The Cultural Exchange Lounge is staffed by Lounge Manager student employees.
Lounge hours are 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for study time only.
On the UNE Portland Campus, information and resources for the Office of Multicultural Affairs & Diversity is located in the Office of Graduate & Professional Student Affairs in Proctor Hall 2. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Multicultural Affairs staff is on the Portland Campus at least two days/per week and we can also schedule meetings with UNE Portland Campus students by appointment.
