Counseling Services

Counseling Services

Counseling Services at the University of New England provides a variety of services that address the psychological and emotional health of the graduate and undergraduate student population.

  • Individual or Group Counseling
    • Meet with a counselor for individual sessions or attend a group session organized by a counselor regarding a particular issue.
    • There is no fee for students to use Counseling Services, and health insurance companies are not notified or billed for our services.
    • Sessions are scheduled by appointment. However, we also respond to emergencies and crises.
  • Conflict Resolution
    • Conflict is a natural result of transition, growth, changing environments and personality differences. Conflict Resolution Services are designed to help students, faculty and staff resolve or manage disputes with the assistance of a neutral party. We can help assess the issue, diffuse the hostility and find solutions. Additionally, staff offer workshops and other training to members of the University community.
  • Consultation and Outreach
    • Our staff is specially trained in group dynamics, conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, and provide consultation to students, staff, and faculty.
  • Health Promotion
    • In keeping with UNE's focus on health promotion and maintenance, services such as workshops, special issues groups, informational sessions, developmental programming and consultation are designed to address the on-going needs of UNE's population.
