The Student Academic Success Center (SASC) provides a staff of peer, graduate and professional tutors to support a wide selection of undergraduate and graduate courses. UNE’s tutors are a select group of students and professionals who demonstrate subject proficiency as well as the personal qualities conducive to good working relationships.
Peer tutors are selected based on academic achievement, supportive faculty recommendations and an application and interview process. Peer tutors are trained and many have earned certification by the College Reading and Learning Association. Professional tutoring is provided by SASC staff and professional writing consultants.
Tutoring services are free of charge to you as a UNE student. Tutors’ regularly scheduled hours are published in the Tutor Schedule, available in the Student Academic Success Center and on campus bulletin boards. Information about the schedule is also available on the SASC website.
For the most up-to-date information, please use une.tutortrac.com or contact the Student Academic Success Center at (207) 221-4247. No appointment is necessary to use drop-in tutoring services, and you may participate in drop-in tutoring as frequently as you desire.
