Welcome to the Proctor Center on the Westbrook College Campus of the University of New England!! We strive to provide the best possible Career Services, Learning Assistance Services, and Adult Learner Services to the students and alumni on this campus.
Created by students as a class project in 1992, the Proctor Center, located on the first floor of Proctor Hall, has three important goals. The first is to help students achieve academically. The second is to guide the development of career-related knowledge and skills, and the third is to provide needed adult learner resources for resident, commuter and non-traditional students.
In the Center, students seek advice and information in a welcoming environment, participate in workshops and discussion groups, meet with faculty and tutors, enjoy a cup of coffee and a quiet place to study, or relax and "recharge." Recent improvements to the Center include wireless service, updated computers, another cubicle for privacy while studying, and a large whiteboard to be used as needed for peer tutoring sessions. The staff is committed to providing a comfortable and hospitable environment that is conducive to a variety of students' needs and activities.
