Fees and Insurance
- All full time students are required to have health insurance. Please contact your health insurance company prior to attending school as you may need referrals to be seen in the Student Health Centers.
- Students have an option for purchasing health insurance thorough the University of New England. The University of New England school insurance is supplied by Consolidated Health Plans. UNE Students who have Consolidated Health Plan school insurance can contact them at 1-800-633-7867 or at www.une.edu/businessoffice/health.cfm The insurance brochures are available at the student billing department. Coverage is different for undergraduates versus graduate students. Again, it is the responsibility of the student to contact their insurance company to determine coverage, not the Student Health Center staff.
- All UHC health services will be billed to the student’s health insurance company. The student health center fee, included in the UNE general services fee, covers co-pay, deductible and coinsurance for all UHC provided services.
- Any services provided by reference laboratories, hospitals or other non-UNE facilities, will be billed to the student’s insurance company. Any remaining balance not covered by insurance is the responsibility of the student.
