First Year Mentor Program
The First-Year Mentor Program, offered through Student Support Services at the University of New England, is available to first year undergraduates (freshmen). This program, made possible through the generous grant support of the MELMAC Foundation aims to provide professional, individual mentoring to first year students who want help with their transition to college.
Mentors are professional staff from Student Support Services who serve as a link between new students and the campus community. The goal of this program is to help retain students and to guide them through a process of accessing academic, social and personal support services.
First Year Mentoring is currently available by invitation to students who have indicated through the Noel-Levitz College Student Inventory (CSI) that they have concerns about areas of adjustment to college.
