Student Health Care

Introduction and Mission

The University of New England is proud to have high quality health services available to our students.  For convenience and easy access, the Health Centers are located at the Biddeford and Westbrook College campuses. We are staffed with highly qualified practitioners and support staff to provide complete services compatible with primary care offices.

We realize that most students will be displaced from their family practitioners, and we are prepared to continue to provide the health care they are accustomed to receiving. We realize that healthy students will be able to maximize their educational experiences.

University Health Care Student Advisory Board (UHC-SAB)

The UHC Student Advisory Board began in 1999 through an initiative of the Undergraduate Student Government at the University Campus. The Board has steadily moved forward in their capacity to work with students regarding their health care needs and issues. The UHC-SAB solicits student feedback through focus groups, open forums and individual correspondence. They then meet with the Executive Director of UHC or his designee(s) and provide suggestions for improved systems to meet student needs and/or requests.

Students may contact Marilyn R. Gugliucci, Ph.D., Advisor to the UHC-SAB, at 207-602-2556 to become a member of the student advisory board or to offer suggestions or comments on the UHC services for students.
