Work by Wendy CannonThe exhibit runs Dec. 4, 2007 to Jan. 3, 2008, and is free, and open to the public.

A chiefly self-taught artist, Cannon is a kindergarten teacher with a passion for watercolor painting. Her subjects, people, landscapes and seascapes, are painted in vibrant colors and in a realistic style, a hallmark of her work. Cannon’s pet portraits capture the lively "personality" of each animal. She paints the shoreline near her home expressing the spirit of the beaches.  Cannon's paintings "just capture the illusion of life," according to the Biddeford-Saco-OOB Courier, May 6, 2004.

Stella Maris Hall is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.Cannon’swork can also be seen at Gallery 265 in Biddeford, as well as at various outdoor summer shows.
