projects April 30th
PORTLAND, Maine - The University of New England 2008 College of Health Professions' Scholarship and Research Symposium will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2008, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in CHP Lecture Hall, Coleman 7, and Finley Recreation Center on the Westbrook College Campus in Portland.
The symposium showcases students and faculty scholarship and research activities including:
- Traditional Research Design
- Case Study
- Survey Findings
- Conceptual/Theoretical Paper and Scholarship
- Research in the Creative Arts
Oral Presentations
Oral presentations will be held in CHP Lecture Hall and Coleman 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Oral presentations will include presentations on:
- Caring Practices of Health Professionals from the Perspectives of Mothers with Infants who Experience Problematic Substance Abuse. (School of Social Work)
- Evaluating the Effectivenss of a Ballet Class for Children with Down Syndrome. (Occupational Therapy)
- Exploring Factors Influencing the Utlization of Direct Assess in Physical Therapy: A Survey of Maine. (Physical Therapy)
- Reliability and Validity of a New Functional Assessment: The Bartosz Assessment of Safety in Kitchen Tasks (BASKT). (Occupational Therapy)

Poster Presentations
Poster presentations will be held in Finley Recreational Center from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Poster Presentations will include presentations on:
