Maine Women Writers Collection hosts discussion by award-winning novelist Julia Older
PORTLAND - Author Julia Older will discuss her award-winning novel "This Desired Place" on Oct. 4, 2007 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Sarton Room of the Maine Women Writers Collection on the University of New England's Westbrook College Campus in Portland.
The event is free and open to the public.
During her discussion, Older will also talk about writing and researching her first novel, "The Island Queen; Celia Thaxter," the first novel in the Isles of Shoals Trilogy; and her tenth poetry book titled "Tahirih Unveiled" about poet and martyr Tahirih of Persia.
This Desired Place
"This Desired Place," the second novel of the Isles of Shoals Trilogy, is the 2007 gold medal finalist for Best Northeast Regional Fiction by the Independent Publisher Book Awards.
