Charles Kean named to UNE Board of Trustees
Charles J. Kean, III of Falmouth, a certified public accountant and chair of the Maine accounting firm MacDonald Page & Company, has joined the Board of Trustees at the University of New England.
Kean was voted a new trustee in July 2006. He will serve on the board’s Finance Committee and Student Affairs Committee.
Kean has practiced public accounting since 1976 and has extensive expertise in family business issues, as well as in all areas of taxation. In addition to his CPA, he is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). MacDonald Page has offices in South Portland and Augusta.
He graduated with an accounting degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1972 and earned a law degree from the University of Maine School of Law in 1976. He received his CPA certificate in 1978.
Kean is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maine Society of Certified Accountants and the Maine Estate Planning Council.
